What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Provide expert support to DoD CIO leadership on information technology, cybersecurity, and data policy, processes, and standards
- Author draft DoD policy issuances and policy memoranda
- Coordinate stakeholder comment review and revision of DoD policy issuances and memoranda
- Participate in internal and external policy working groups and meetings
- Provide recommendations on new and improved policy artifacts to enhance DoD mission enablement
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in Department of Defense or U.S. Government policy issuance activities, policy memoranda, and/or standards development
- Experience with information technology and cybersecurity
- Strong written communication skills, with the ability to author both short- and long-form documents
- Keen customer service skills, especially in supporting senior DoD officials
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent required; Master’s degree preferred
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience with Special Access Programs
- Familiarity with the DoD policy issuance process
- Experience in classified DoD and/or Intelligence Community activities
