      Job Summary:

      • This position works as a key member of our Land Planning team and contributes to projects through diligent research, thoughtful design and strong attention to detail.

      Accountability and Duties:

      • Conduct due diligence research and determine development and entitlement strategies
      • Prepare proposals and scope of work cost estimates
      • Assist multi-discipline land development teams with land planning, site planning and preparation of entitlement documents and justification
      • Develop, review, interpret and implement comprehensive plans and zoning ordinances
      • Develop, review, and interpret demographic/socio-economic data, fiscal and economic analysis, market data and other such quantitative information regarding plans, developments, population projections and forecasts
      • Prepare and present testimony and information at public hearings, municipal board and committee meetings, trials, and all other such public forums.
      • Maintain key client and municipal relationships
      • Assist in mentoring of key staff
      • Participate in company special purpose committees
      • Responsible for project schedules and timely completion of projects for self, team members
      • Provides an accurate accounting of time spent on projects with descriptions for each time entry on a weekly basis
      • Participates in marketing, sales and business development efforts

      Education and/or Experience:

      • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Land Use Planning, Urban Planning, Community Development, Landscape Architecture or other related field
      • 5+ years experience required

      Required Certificates, Licenses, Registration:

      • AICP designation beneficial, but not required
      • Valid driver’s license

      Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

      • Possess and demonstrate outstanding and effective written and verbal communication skills
      • Demonstrate strong design abilities and graphic skills
      • Available to attend evening public hearings
      • Demonstrated project management skills and multitasking are essential.
      • Ability to make independent decisions within a general framework.
      • Strong public speaking and presentation skills.
      • Knowledge of industry related software.

      Salary Range:

      $85,000 - $120,000
