      QED Systems, LLC, is currently recruiting a Senior Lead Test Engineer to join our team at Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD. This position is contingent upon award of the PD SAI SETA Task Order.

      The Senior Lead Test Engineer serves as an expert and participates in the planning, conducting and reporting of system-level technical testing at the Central Technical Support Facility (CTSF), APG, and Army Test and Evaluation Command (ATEC) and system contractor facilities.

      Duties:

      • Assists in coordinating and conducting functional tests for Tactical Operations Centers (TOCs) in support of the PD SAI.
      • Assists in summarizing, documenting, and reporting various C5ISR/TOC test data and results to the Technical Director, CTSF and Product Manager (PdM), Tactical Operations Centers (PdM TOCs)
      • Participates in TOC working groups and materiel development meetings to assist in developing coordinated fielding and testing schedules.
      • Assists in developing and producing Test Design Plans for TOC testing and other PD SAI programs and transformation initiatives.
      • Independently evaluates, selects and applies standard engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria, and makes minor adaptations and modifications.
      • Provides independent and professional support on portions of complex projects.
      • Provides professional engineering support with increasing independent accomplishment.
      • Develops, maintains, upgrades automated test scripts and architectures for application products.
      • Writes, implements and reports status for system test cases for testing.
      • Analyzes test cases and provides regular progress reports.
      • Serves as subject matter expert, providing testing know-how for the support of user requirements of complex to highly complex software/hardware applications.
      • Participates in all phases of risk management.

      Required Skills & Experience:

      • Detailed-oriented with excellent technical, verbal, and written communication skills.

      Required Clearance:

      • ACTIVE CLEARANCE LEVEL REQUIRED: Top Secret

      Qualifications:

      • Bachelor’s degree required. Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business or related scientific or technical discipline preferred.
      • A minimum of ten (10) years of progressively complex experience in testing of complex mechanical, electromechanical and electrical/electronic systems.
      • Four (4) additional years of direct relevant technical experience or relevant military service may be substituted for education.

      Travel:

      Not less than 20% travel is expected for this position. Travel may include continental United States and outside continental United States locations.

      Work Environment:

      This position will be performed in a variety of locations, including but not limited to, government offices, military bases and depots, warehouse/maintenance shops, and/or field environments that include extended periods outdoors.

      Physical Demands:

      Physical demands of this position include ability to:

      • Be independently mobile.
      • Communicate effectively with co-workers and customers.
      • Withstand prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and computer use.
      • Climb stairs, ramps, ladders, and work stands.
      • Wear proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as glasses/goggles (eyes), ear plugs/muffs (hearing), hard hats, and breathing respirators/masks.
      • Operate powered vehicles, machinery, hand tools, ground support equipment, fork lift, etc.
      • Withstand exposure to noise from operating equipment.

      Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:

      This is a full‐time position, Monday through Friday. Flexibility around core hours. Travel may occur outside of normal core hours.
