What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Collaborate with Human Resources to provide legal support related to employment matters, including policy review and compliance
- Maintain awareness of applicable legislation and provide recommendations to ensure compliance
- Support litigation and pre-litigation matters, including investigation of claims and management of legal hold processes
- Assist with the negotiation, drafting, and review of commercial contracts and related documentation
- Provide support for internal training programs related to employment law and compliance
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor’s degree required
- 4-8 years of experience in a corporate legal department or law firm environment
- Strong client service orientation and ability to analyze information to make decisions
- At least intermediate skill-level with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Must possess strong verbal and written communication skills and attention to detail
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Degree in Legal Studies, Paralegal degree, or certification is a plus
- Experience in a professional services organization is beneficial
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
- Strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
