What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Conduct complex risk assessments of insured properties and operations to support underwriting decisions
- Identify potential risk exposures and formulate strategic recommendations to mitigate risks
- Analyze loss data to identify trends and implement tailored loss prevention programs
- Provide advanced technical guidance and training for clients on safety practices and regulatory compliance
- Deliver joint marketing presentations in collaboration with underwriting, claims, and sales teams
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor's Degree in Risk Management and Insurance, Safety Engineering, or a related field or equivalent experience
- Minimum of 13 years of experience in loss control, risk management, or a related field within the property and casualty insurance industry
- Advanced analytical, risk assessment, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Advanced knowledge of company policies and industry laws and regulations
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Completion of or progress toward a professional designation such as Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or Associate in Risk Management (ARM)
- Experience in providing technical advice and support to management and other departments
- Demonstrated ability to analyze data to identify problems and recommend effective solutions
