      Your role at Clorox:

      We are seeking a strategic and forward-thinking leader to head the Business Planning team for the Cleaning Business Unit (BU). This role is responsible for driving the end-to-end Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process and demand forecasting for the Cleaning Business Unit (BU). This role oversees the development, consolidation, and communication of an integrated volumetric shipping forecast across multiple planning streams and business levels, ensuring alignment with the BU’s strategic goals and priorities.
      A key partner to the BU Leadership Team, this role leads scenario planning, supports risk and opportunity management, and the creation of strategic narratives to support timely, data-driven decision-making.
      This role also plays a critical part in advancing the company’s digital transformation by championing machine learning–driven forecasting and fostering a culture of continuous improvement and best practices. As a thought leader, the Associate Director collaborates with the Center of Excellence to shape enterprise-wide Integrated Business Planning (IBP) capabilities and leads pilot initiatives to drive innovation.
      In addition to managing and developing a high-performing team, the role requires strong analytical acumen, financial insight, and the ability to communicate effectively to and influence across all levels of the organization in a fast-paced, matrixed environment.

      In this role, you will:

      • Demand Forecast and Analysis (30%):
        • Forecast ownership: Support team in development of the demand forecast for the BU and Iris demand forecast. Coordination of total volume forecast, incorporating in GM and functional feedback, adjusting as needed to arrive at an integrated and accurate plan for total Cleaning BU and Laundry and Homecare levels as needed.
        • Driver attribution and business analysis: Oversee assessing and pressure testing of key forecast drivers, seeking a deep understanding demand forecast driver attribution and their influence over the forecast, risks, and opportunities.
        • DP narrative design: Constructs BU Demand Plan (LEDP) narrative with support from IBP Lead, proactively identifying key forecast tensions, tradeoffs, and decisions needed for discussion in LEDP & Scenario Selection Meeting and GM Signoff Meeting
        • Risks & opportunities management, ensuring all risks and opportunities are identified and quantified for use in Planning of strategic business initiatives and scenario planning
        • Forecast consolidation: Single point of consolidation and articulation of full BU Demand plan from different demand planning streams inside a large BU. Includes consolidation at multiple levels (Cleaning, Homecare, Laundry, and any other level meaningful to the business), understanding of total BU customer level forecast portfolios with validation and ownership of final numbers.
      • Scenarios Coordination (30%):
        • Demand scenario analysis: Drives scenario analysis, leveraging Iris Scenario Mgr. tool, identifying impact of changing demand drivers (e.g. pricing, promo, marketing, and dist.) based on business acumen
        • Risks & opportunities: Analyzes demand forecast impact of different risk / opportunity scenarios
        • Scenario framing & response: Supports framing and strategy development against most likely impactful scenarios, in alignment with IBP Lead / Mgr. and BU Leadership Team (LT)
      • Cross-Functional Collaboration (20%):
        • Proactive communication: Conducts proactive cross-functional outreach to understand forecast and key drivers, extract business insights, understand risks & opportunities, correctly incorporate adjustments to lock DP scenario, and explain the output of the model to the business
        • Input coordination: Reviews and validates inputs and, if needed, holds input owners accountable for delivery, collecting updates via standardized tools, templates, and processes
        • Tool feedback: Provides feedback to the IBP hub on Iris tool functionality
        • Community of practice: Actively foster and contribute to a community of like practitioners
      • People Management (20%):
        • Analysis oversight / expertise: Oversee demand planning forecast and scenario analysis in the BU, supporting team members and providing business guidance, framing support, and sense checks as needed
        • Team mgmt. & development: Line manage commercial planning team (e.g. performance evaluations) and coach, develop, and train team members
        • Influence and Coordination: Regularly coordinating and communicating efficiently and effectively with various levels of the organization (Peers to VP/GM with majority of the time spent at the AD/Dir level).

      What we look for:

      • Analytics / data mastery: Strong data science / analytical skillset, including:
      • In depth understanding how a forecast model works, strengths / pitfalls of the ML model and the core elements of the model predictivity
      • Able to analyze and diagnose core forecast drivers and understand impact on forecast with Iris tools
      • High fluency / dexterity in working with data
      • Ability to recognize trends within data and translate into forecast narrative
      • Customer operations: Deep understanding of both customer operations, with capacity to understand, explain, and reconcile demand drivers and how they interact to drive the business
      • Supply chain operations: Strong foundation in supply chain network management and operations
      • Executive communication and presence

      Experience:

      • 7-10 yrs industry experience, CPG / fast moving consumer preferred
      • Recent S&OP / demand planning experience
      • Deep experience in statistical modeling / predictive analytics
      • Experience interfacing and influencing across multiple functions
      • At least 2 years of people/team leadership, management, and development
      • Preference: Experience in a customer-facing role

      Education:

      • BS/BA degree required, preferred: degree in business, engineering, supply chain or logistics management and/or Master’s degree

The applicable salary range for every role in the U.S. is based on your work location and is aligned to one of three zones according to the cost of labor in your area.

      –Zone A: $128,000 - $252,200

      –Zone B: $117,400 - $231,200

      –Zone C: $106,700 - $210,200
