      Are you ready to bring your ERM skills and experience to enhance a mature ERM program? We are looking for an ERM Senior Manager who can help us revitalize and align the program with the organization’s strategic direction. You have and in-depth understanding of ERM frameworks and experience with implementing an ERM program, including helping to bring awareness of risk and controls to our business units. In addition to your technical skills, you also have well developed softer skills: you work well with people, you can facilitate difficult discussions, and you have excellent communication skills that allow you to work with senior levels within the LCBO.

      The role reports into our Vice President, Audit and Risk, CAE and the Senior Manager is responsible for managing the ERM team under the direction of the Vice President. The ERM team has one other staff member that reports into the Senior Manager.

      About the Role

      • ERM Governance responsibilities:
        • Maintain and revitalize the LCBO ERM Program to ensure continued alignment with Ontario Public Sector ERM requirements and COSO standards. Updating and maintaining risk definitions, risk appetite, methodology, policy, and other framework documentation and processes.
        • Works with the Vice President, Audit and Risk, CAE to update and maintain the rolling 3-year roadmap for the ERM program.
        • Primary responsibility to carry out the work set out in the roadmap.
        • Build and maintain professional working relationships with the Risk Management Oversight Committee and other senior management team members.
        • Support the Vice President, Audit and Risk, CAE with his/her accountabilities related to the Audit Committee, the Board of Directors, and other external reporting requirements.
      • Embed ERM into the LCBO:
        • Embed risk work into decision making processes, such as project management, vendor management, and strategy.
        • Develop and implement strategies to bring ERM deeper into LCBO business units/processes.
        • Educate teams on risk management concepts and methodology.
        • Validate results of risk work with senior leaders.
        • Integrate results of risk work performed into entity level reports.
        • Develop and track key risk indicators.
      • Demonstrate the value of the ERM program and continuously build awareness across the larger organization.
      • Know how to run environmental risk scans and threat assessments and bring that back into various risk profiles.
      • Stay up to date on trends in ERM.
      • Develops a deep understanding the LCBO’s business, retail and public sector organization.
      • Manage a direct report including performance management and support annual budgeting processes and reviews.

      About You

      • Undergraduate degree in business or a related discipline and/or equivalent job-related experience.
      • Relevant professional designation considered an asset (e.g., Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Certified Risk Management Professional (CRMP), Certification in Risk Management Assurance (CRMA), Canadian Risk Management designation (CRM)).
      • 5-7 years of relevant experience in Enterprise Risk Management.
      • Knowledge of Enterprise risk management governance, frameworks and fundamentals, including relevant Frameworks (COSO, ISO).
      • Excellent interpersonal skills, especially related to facilitating, presenting, documenting and reporting.
      • Well-developed relationship management and influencing skills to work with various levels of the organizations.
      • Agility and resiliency in your own work habits and ability to manage your workload.
      • Critical thinker with strong business acumen.
      • Excellent Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with risk management systems and other data analytics tools.
