- Monitor and analyze developing and ongoing policy challenges to Bayer Consumer Health Division in the priority geographical areas and advise Policy & Public Affairs management and business leaders on associated risks and opportunities;
- Develop policy strategies, advocacy plans and industry trade associations' initiatives to drive the success of the Consumer Health portfolio globally. Lead and oversee their successful implementation;
- Provide briefings for senior leaders on topics of priority and ensure that Bayer's positions are aligned across all major industry associations;
- Manage Bayer's presence in trade associations and ensure that Bayer's positions are effectively communicated and understood within BCH;
- Assist selected markets with the implementation of policy and advocacy action plans, fostering alignment through internal consultations, strategy development, and effective execution of tactics Position;
- Ensure that Bayer Consumer Health Public Affairs, Science and Sustainability keeps leadership on key Public Affairs initiatives worldwide (internally and externally);
- Work closely with Global, LATAM, and EU Public Affairs and Policy teams, regional and local PASS teams, including country managers and trade association representatives;
- Collaborate with other functional teams, such as Legal, Regulatory, and Government Affairs at BCH and cross divisions;
- Education: Bachelor s degree required. Graduate level degree preferred with a focus on public policy, public affairs, government, economics, law, or a health related field;
- Conceptual understanding of market function and structures within the consumer health industry;
- Proven track record of successfully managing and executing policy and advocacy initiatives in complex and regulated environments
- Experience with advocacy-related activities, including building relationship with internal and external stakeholder groups;
- Understanding of general policymaking and regulatory processes;
- Ability to excel in a matrixed and complex corporate environment with perpetual alignment challenges;
- Capability to build trusted partnerships at various levels of management and with trade association and other external relationships;
- Evidence of excellent academic performance and training in research and analysis;
- Excellent written and oral communication and presentation skills;
- Strong negotiation and persuasion skills and executive presence;
- Capability to think strategically about implementing policy and public affairs goals;
- Language: Fluency in English;
- Ability to travel as needed, including internationally;
- Work Experience: At least 10 years of experience in a policy role or adjacent function (e.g., regulatory, public affairs, legal, etc.). Strong preference for candidates with work global/regional experiences (as opposed to country only experiences);
- Understanding consumer-focused industries, preferably the consumer health industry;
- Fluency in French, German, Spanish or Portuguese.

Senior Manager Global Policy & Public Affairs
The Senior Manager of Global Policy & Public Affairs is a critical member of the Bayer Consumer Health team, responsible for managing public policy, public affairs, and industry trade associations' initiatives to drive the commercial success of the Consumer Health portfolio globally. With a primary focus on the European Union, the United States, and Latin America, the role will require a high level of expertise and understanding of the healthcare industry and a strong ability to navigate complex policy and advocacy initiatives.
