      Senior Manager - Pricing Strategy & Operations

      BMC is looking for a Senior Manager of Pricing to join our global Commercial Strategy & Operations team. This role will report to the Director of Pricing Strategy & Ops. This key role will be responsible for supporting pricing architecture, packaging, and monetization strategies for BMC's current product and services portfolio, as well as future innovation. The Senior Manager of Pricing will partner with seasoned Product Managers across BMC's business units and collaborate closely with cross functional stakeholders to set and drive the company's strategic pricing goals.

      The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in pricing and business strategy, with a proven ability to interpret and leverage large, complex data sets. Success in this role requires strong project management capabilities, exceptional communication skills, and the ability to effectively collaborate with diverse stakeholders across the organization.

      Responsibilities:
      • Support the development of pricing strategies that maximize revenue, margin, and market competitiveness across the company’s software product portfolio
      • Lead pricing governance by establishing frameworks, approval processes, and guardrails to ensure consistency and scalability in pricing decisions
      • Collaborate with Product Managers and key functional stakeholders (e.g., Sales, Finance, Compliance) to develop business cases for product updates and new launches
      • Conduct market analysis and competitive research to inform optimal product pricing architecture to meet strategic objectives
      • Oversee pricing tools, systems, and infrastructure, collaborating with Product Ops, Sales Ops and IT to ensure data accuracy and efficient deal workflows
      • Perform in‑depth pricing and financial analysis, including elasticity modeling, discount optimization, competitive benchmarking, and customer value assessment
      • Contribute to the development of financial forecasts resulting from new product pricing strategies and innovation
      • Support the development of annual product price adjustments according to customer value, macroeconomic factors, product enhancements, etc.
      • Prepare clear communication documents and reporting to share findings and recommendations with senior leaders

      • 6+ years of experience in pricing and business strategy. Experience in enterprise software preferred.
      • Success in supporting the design and implementation of enterprise-level pricing, packaging, and monetization strategies
      • Experience with pricing models, elasticity analysis, competitive benchmarking, and revenue/margin modeling
      • High proficiency in manipulating and analyzing large and complex data sets to derive key business insights
      • Strong communication skills—especially in presenting pricing recommendations to senior leadership
      • Ability to think critically to identify issues and provide actionable solutions
      • Proficiency in Excel, VBA, and Tableau preferred
      • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field required; MBA preferred

      At BMC, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at /near the top of the range. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $129,375 - $215,625
