Completed a post-secondary diploma or degree in business or equivalent related work experience.
A Red Seal Mechanical License.
4 -6 years’ experience administering Safety Programs, audit s , investigations, & implementing safety changes .
Experience d in leading training design and implementation.
Experienced in working with Worksafe Officers and interpreting and applying the BC Workers Compensation Act.
Comfortable using technology, including working knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) .
Bonus Qualification s ! Large fleet mechanical experience .
Health & Safety (H&S) experience, along with an Occupational H & S (OH & S) diploma/degree or an equivalent degree program.
Lead and continue to grow a ‘Safety First’ culture within Automotive with the foundational belief, shared values, and commitment that all team members and Members/customers will go home safely.
Develop training materials to ensure team members are using the latest techniques and processes to provide Roadside service to Members, with team member safety as the primary focus.
Ensures that Trainers are training on the most up to date Health and Safety Materials and they are following a training timeline for safety .
Hire, train, develop, coach and manage team members to ensure the team has adequate skills and experience to meet objectives .
Work s with the Training team to create, maintain and regularly update online training for Fleet technicians and contract partners when appropriate .
Actively lead in identifying hardware or software solutions that are safety oriented to keep team members safe at the roadside.
Responsible for developing, maintaining , and updating the Fleet Associate Technician role to ensure that each candidate is placed appropriately in the program and progressed according to experience and skills .
Develops a robust training program in conjunction with CAA & AAA using modular approach to learning .
Completes job shadowing with roadside drivers and contract partners informing them of best practices and facilitating training services .

As Senior Manager, Automotive Safety and Training , you’ll lead the overall Automotive Safety strategy at BCAA . You’ll lead the Road Assist training team and be a safety offi c er, working to develop and deliver a comprehensive safety program for our Road Assist Fleet, Partner Tow Contractors and Auto Service Centers . You’ll collaborate internally across BCAA and with external organizations to consistently improve the safety record of BCAA.

The salary range for this position is $105 ,000 to $135,000 , plus a performance bonus target of 12.5%, with the opportunity to earn up to 20%.
