Condé Nast Entertainment (CNE) is an award-winning next generation studio and distribution network with entertainment content across film, television, premium digital video, social, virtual reality and OTT channels. CNE develops, produces and distributes video content across 17 brands, including Bon Appétit, Glamour, GQ, Vanity Fair, Vogue and Wired. In addition, the Studio produces and distributes over 4,000 pieces of original digital video content a year averaging over 1 billion views a month. CNE has an extensive digital distribution network of nearly 60 partners across about 2,300 websites.
Job Title: Senior Manager, Social Creative Development, Glamour & Allure
Condé Nast Entertainment is looking for a creative development lead to drive the continued growth of Glamour and Allure’s social video presence, a primary function in our evolution into a 21st century world class entertainment company. As Senior Manager, Social Creative Development, Glamour & Allure you will nurture, oversee, and grow a social-first, digital video IP portfolio focused on English language content for US audiences, with the ultimate goal of growing audiences across various social media platforms. This role is based in New York and reports to the Senior Director, Programming and Development, Glamour and Allure.
The purpose of this role is to build, develop, and execute on social series from the ground up, driving audience growth and engagement in the forms of:
● Original social content for global digital platforms (e.g. TikTok, Instagram, YouTube Shorts, Snapchat, Facebook, Twitter), with focus on premium, scalable quality
● Social coverage on our video productions● Video franchises that transcend platforms and markets
● Video support of live cultural events if applicable
Primary Responsibilities
● Identify, drive, and oversee the content strategy and creative for Glamour and Allure social channels
● Align with brand editorial priorities and CNE video KPIs to create social video IP across platforms
● Develop, produce, and edit original, social-first series and stories for TikTok, Reels, YouTube Shorts, and Instagram Video
● Participate in and lead brainstorming sessions with cross functional teams
● Launch new visual editorial standards and properties across brands working with data from the content team and creative group● Collaborate brand editorial on the development of talent, both internal and external
● Collaborate continuously with Creative Optimization, Content Planning & Analysis, brand editorial, and Audience Development to engage existing fans and appeal to new viewers and advertisers
Desired Skills and Qualifications
● 4+ years experience in the digital media space as a professional and capable leader with inclusive style that garners respect and trust across stakeholders and team members
● Deep seeded knowledge of internet culture and digital video landscape (e.g. Instagram, TikTok, YouTube Shorts, Snap, et.al), the unique elements of each video platform and what makes particular videos successful on those platforms
● A finger on the pulse of social trends across platforms (especially TikTok, Snapchat, Instagram)
● Established creative sensibility with an excellent track record of producing and overseeing social content execution
● Experience creating social content from the ground up
● Proven ability to operate, balancing long-term value with near-term business goals, ability to manage heavy workload and prioritize appropriately
● Entrepreneurial, strategic and holistic mindset, eagerness to learn and build, and a reputation as an innovative, adaptable and proactive “doer” with desire to differentiate Condé Nast from the competition
● Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize and meet deadlines
● Strong interpersonal communication skills (written and oral) with an emotionally intelligent communication style● Successful experience navigating matrixed organizations
● Experience within a start-up or new line of business within a large, highly leveraged company
● Exhibit and set a culture of professionalism and results-oriented purpose
● Familiarity with the brands and businesses of Condé NastThe expected base salary range for this position is from $77,000 - $107,000. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including but not limited to relevant skills, training, experience, and education. In addition to salary and a generous employee benefits package, successful candidates may also be eligible to receive discretionary bonus compensation.
