- Demonstrated strong leadership experience and technical understanding of technology risk in complex environments
- More than 10 years’ experience in conducting Technology risk management and/or consulting gained in Finance/General Insurance industry or Professional Services (Technology Risk Consulting and Assurance)
- Understanding of Technology, Cyber, Data (incl Australian Privacy Principles) and Security risk standards such as NIST, COBIT, ISO, CPS 234, CPS 220, CPS 232, and foundational requirements of CPS 230.
- Operational Risk management experience at a senior level, with understanding of operational risk linkage to strategy, risk appetite and Technology domains
- Ability to build and maintain senior internal and external relationships to stay up to date with emerging issues and risks and share insights.
- Effective leadership and collaboration in a team environment to manage change and drive IAG’s strategy execution. Coach, lead and manage direct reports to achieve Group Risk strategic objectives.
- Highly developed communication skills and report writing skills.
- Highly organised, ability to work at pace with high attention to detail and forward planning.
- Proven capacity to develop and co-design Technology risk strategies combined with commercial, practical and action orientated application.
- Significant experience in managing multiple/concurrent initiatives from beginning to end within a multi-disciplined function.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Technology, or related fields.
- Professional qualifications with IIA, ICAA, CPA, Lean 6 Sigma, CISA, RMIA or equivalent.
- ISACA certification (CISA/CRISC/CISSP) and/or IT industry cert (COBIT, ITIL).

YOUR ROLE
Join this small dynamic team and play a vital role in providing thought leadership with insights from the internal and external environment, to provide timely and commercially driven advice and support to senior management, 1st, and 2nd Line teams to ensure the effective management of Technology Risk across IAG and in readiness for CPS 230.
This role will require a high level of interpersonal and influencing skills as well as the ability to converse technically with senior stakeholders. A deep understanding of technology risk frameworks, control environments and practices, and the design and application of data-driven analytics is essential.
You will lead a team of technically skilled risk professionals to deliver proactive review and reporting of technology risks, and challenge and support the business to promote a strong and integrated risk culture.
