- Champions the voice of the member by identifying their pain points and aspirations, and translating these insights into actionable, high-performing content that drives engagement and revenue.
- Owns and executes a content strategy across digital and traditional channels, including websites, blogs, social media, video, email, print, direct mail, and in-branch materials.
- Leads multi-channel content development efforts that support member acquisition, onboarding, product adoption, and retention, using a storytelling approach that educates, informs, and engages our audiences.
- Collaborates with stakeholders, including product owners, compliance, and analytics teams to align content with market positioning, campaign goals, and data insights.
- Builds and manages messaging frameworks that address member pain points and clearly communicate how the credit unions products and services provide value and solutions.
- Creates, writes, and edits content for a wide range of marketing assets, including landing pages, help articles, video scripts, social media content, and internal communications.
- Manages and grows the credit unions social media presence, working independently and with internal stakeholders and agencies to create timely and relevant content that reflects our values, drives engagement, and supports our community focus.
- Optimizes content for SEO and lead generation, conducting keyword research, competitive research, and applying on-page best practices to increase visibility and conversions.
- Monitors and reports on content performance, identifying opportunities for continuous improvement through data-driven insights and A/B testing.
- Researches industry trends and competitive messaging, ensuring the credit unions content remains relevant, addresses member needs, and differentiates us in the market through compelling value propositions.
- Maintains Corning Credit Union’s writing style guide, developing and evolving our editorial voice, and providing guidance to internal partners on grammar, composition, and clarity.
- Stays up to date with the latest content marketing trends, tools, and best practices.
- Ensures accuracy of all marketing materials, collaborating with stakeholders to ensure work meets compliance standards.
- Contributes to the departmental strategy, planning, and implementation to support the credit unions goals.
- Stays current on of credit union policies, regulations, and product and service enhancements to effectively communicate with internal and external audiences.
- Assume responsibilities for other duties or projects as required or assigned.
- Experience in content strategy and development, preferably in financial services, fintech, or similar regulated industry.
- Portfolio of writing samples demonstrating creativity across channels.
- Strong judgment and independent decision-making skills.
- Experience managing social media channels, content calendars, and scheduling platforms.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Familiarity with common design programs, such as the Adobe Suite and Canva.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Outstanding quality and accuracy of work.
- Maintains exceptional flexibility and can manage time wisely and effectively juggle changing priorities based on business needs.
- Excels in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented, and agile marketing department.
- Possesses a high level of initiative.
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, English, or related field preferred. Commensurate work experience will also be considered.
- A high school diploma or GED is required.
- 5+ years in communications, marketing, advertising, or related field required.
- The ability to read and comprehend moderate to advanced instructions and correspondence.
- The ability to write moderate to advanced correspondence within professional etiquette standards.
- The ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small-group situations.
- Ability to work within a fast-paced environment.
- Regular use of computer is required.
- Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision, ability to adjust focus from computer to paper and/or close range to long range.

Compensation
The starting Senior Marketing Content Lead base pay range is $65,000 - $95,000 per year. Hiring rates are dependent on several factors, including years of related work experience, education, and geographic location. Corning Credit Union also offers an annual bonus plan as part of its comprehensive compensation package. Additionally, most roles have further levels providing added growth opportunities and earnings potential.
