      Job Summary:

      This Senior Material Handler is responsible for performing Raw, Wip, and FG material movements and transactions by following Standard procedures/instructions and ensuring efficiency. This position is able to conduct with efficiency, all the activities required of the Material Handler position with an extremely high level of proficiency, in addition to all the essential duties listed below.

      Primary Job Responsibilities:

      • Acknowledges and maintains commitment with the environmental policy, and participates actively in the environmental programs to achieve the objectives and targets with their area.

      • Acknowledges and maintains compliance with all company, facility, and Warehousing safety policies and procedures.

      • Agrees to communicate situations that could be in non-compliance as they may develop.

      • Complies with QSR, ISO and all applicable regulations and company procedures.

      • Leading role in the team effort to accomplish assigned results; keeps business information confidential; maintains system security; ensures data accuracy and integrity; maintains updated professional and technical knowledge; assures systems compliance with laws, regulations, and corporate standards; ensures a safe and healthy environment. Complies with all procedures assigned to position training record.

      • Highly proficient with transactions on the company materials managements system, so as to be able to independently perform location transfers, receiving transactions, and shipping transactions.

      • Fully trained and able to transact all parcel receiving, shipping, and tracing activities.

      • Is able to perform both physical and systems requirements to perform a silo receiving of resin.

      • Ensures optimal customer service by assisting internal and external customers with accurate and timely responses to inquiries as required. Maintains a good company image and supplier relation through professional and efficient daily business contacts.

      • Ensures optimal housekeeping by following procedure and completing corresponding checklist; maintains Warehouse in a neat and safe manner; improves warehousing space usage ensuring material is stored to maximize available spaces.

      • Maintains label control records. Verifies the expiration date of labels Is able to identify problems and correct.

      • Maintains permanent and historical reference by maintaining necessary records and/or reports supporting job functions.

      • Highly proficient in conducting independent cycle counts and physical inventory activities; investigating and reconciling differences. Able to complete for approval material adjustment sheets and to make system transactions.

      • Proficient with the use of Fork Trucks (on type used in facility); and of hand pallets (on type used in facility).

      • Maintains vehicles (Trucks and Forklifts) maintenance, reports any mechanical defects by performing daily inspection, filling and signing inspection checklist.

      • Maintains warehouse areas and raw material inventory by properly storing, locating and protecting.

      • Highly proficient in loading and unloading trailers by fork truck.

      • Able to use all dock equipment, such as dock locks; dock doors; banding equipment; stretch wrappers; hand jacks.

      • Maintains technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, and trainings.

      • Provides the necessary support in terms of transporting raw material and products to and from manufacturing and warehouse areas, and to proper locating of material in the storage systems.

      • Able to transact RMA activities, both physically and on the materials management system per procedures.

      • Instrumental in communicating and obtaining department, plant, and company goals.

      • Comply with all ISO 14001 requirements.

      • Comply with internal environmental management system requirements, as applicable.

      Qualifications:

      • H.S. Diploma or GED equivalent, required

      • 3 years of experience in manufacturing or warehouse environment, required.

      • Experience in an FDA regulated industry, preferred.

      • Current/Prior forklift training/certification, required.

      • Computer literacy, required.

      • Experience creating/processing Purchase Orders and Invoices, strongly preferred.
