Job Description

We are seeking experienced Millwrights (433A) in Brampton, ON! This a contracted position, with the opportunity to become a permanent employee after 6 months!

Millwrights will ensure the smooth operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance on pumps, gearboxes, motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, and other production machinery. Technicians will diagnose issues by observing mechanical devices in operation, listening for problems, and using precision measuring and testing instruments. Millwrights will remove defective parts using hoists, cranes, and hand and power tools, and will fabricate and repair parts using machine shop instrumentation and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Complete preventive maintenance requirements on various machinery and mechanical equipment.
• Locate sources of problems by observing devices in operation and using precision instruments.
• Remove defective parts by dismantling devices and using appropriate tools.
• Adjust functional parts of devices and control instruments using hand tools.
• Fabricate repair parts using machine shop equipment.
• Prepare mechanical maintenance reports by collecting and summarizing information.
• Cut and weld metal to repair broken parts and fabricate new parts.
• Record parts and materials used, and order new parts as necessary.

Requirements

• Red Seal 433A Millwright License.
• 5+ years of Canadian Millwright experience in an industrial/production environment.
• Experience with mechanical devices and pneumatic controls.
• Welding, Cutting, and Fabrication experience.

Pay

Competitive Pay - Above Market Rate!

$50/hr

Starting wages are dependent upon professional certifications, and previous professional experience.

Shift

Initial training will take place over 1-2 months on day shifts from 7am to 3:30pm. Following training, you will work a continental shift schedule (7am-7pm, 7pm-7am) that alternates between 48-hour weeks and 36-hour weeks, including both day and night shifts. The position offers opportunities for overtime.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $84364.80 - $84364.80/yr.
