      What's the opportunity?

      As the Senior Mortgage Adjudication Associate, you will review & communicate credit decisions for complex Mortgage Specialist applications. You will apply your expert knowledge, experience and analysis of risk policy to provide exceptions. You will assess the risks while respecting Bank policies and recommend exceptions to credit principles, rules and guidelines. You will develop a strong relationship with sales and service partners through coaching, to ensure optimal client satisfaction.

      Please Note: This is a hybrid opportunity for applicants located in the Lower Mainland, British Columbia and within a commutable distance to the office at 2985 Virtual Way in Vancouver.

      What will you do?

      • Review client income, down payment, and multiple other home equity documents and obtain information needed to determine the creditworthiness of individuals applying for a mortgage
      • Review all applications for possible credit fraud and assist in ongoing investigations
      • Evaluate individual creditworthiness based on established standards and the 5 C's of credit
      • Communicate all decisions to our sales partners with an explanation and suggestions for next steps or structure, if required
      • Focus on complex client programs (Newcomer, Temp Res, Stated Income, Investor, Construction, TDS/GDS exceeding 60%)

      What do you need to succeed?

      • 2+ years of Mortgage lending/credit and strong knowledge of credit risk
      • Self-Motivated with strong accuracy and attention to detail
      • Strong customer focus and decision-making skills
      • Professional oral and written communication skills
      • Excellent time management, strong organizational skills and ability to compile facts
      • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to partner effectively
      • Continuous learning mindset
      • Flexible to work shifts within the business hours of 7am–7pm (PST) Monday to Saturday, with the understanding that the shift offered will be 11am-7pm Monday-Friday or 8am-4pm on Tuesday- Saturday

      Nice to Have:

      • Related experience with adjudication systems and processes (Linx, Casper, Sales Platform, MS Excel)
