What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Lead the design of outside plant (OSP) projects across multiple locations, creating cost estimates and reviewing network data
- Utilize GIS tools to design network builds and collaborate with other engineering associates
- Conduct audits of OSP projects for compliance with National Electrical Code standards and employer policies
- Manage project documentation and oversee contractor invoicing for accuracy
- Provide training and support to team members on GIS functions and tools
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor’s degree (or higher) -OR- 4+ years of professional work experience
- Minimum of 6 years of experience in voice, data, or video networking
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Experience with ESRI ArcGIS, AGOL, or other GIS tools
- Knowledge of telecommunications principles and project management experience
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience in OSP construction and/or engineering, or related utility/municipal construction
- Familiarity with Fiber to The Home (FTTH) design and construction techniques
- Ability to read and understand FTTH construction prints
- Experience leading diverse teams and resolving complex issues
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to communicate effectively
