      Come and join this dedicated team as our Senior Patrolperson. The Senior Patrolperson will be responsible for the application of security procedures within an Anglo Platinum Operation to ensure that employees and assets are protected. Investigation support and emergency protection duties will be part of the activities of this role.

      Job Description

      Job responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

      • Support of investigations and the compilation of case documents
      • Control the setting and responses to alarms (where applicable)
      • Conduct observation activities to support investigations (where applicable)
      • Effectively drive security vehicles
      • Clean and inspect on equipment and firearms
      • Conducts required drug and alcohol tests
      • Audit the conformance to procedures
      • Gathers information through cultivating sources
      • Support the rostering and administration of Protection Services team Support the training of Protection Services team
      • Allocates tasks within a Protection Services team
      • Maintain facilities, equipment and personal image
      • Identify and report problems
      • Promote security awareness
      • Support effective teamwork
      • Participate in required meetings
      • Accurately complete role administration requirements

      This role is at a C1 level reporting to the Protection Services Officer.

      Qualifications

      • Grade 12
      • Registered with the PSIRA Grade B
      • Handle and use a Shotgun for Business Purposes
      • Handle and use a Handgun for Business Purposes
      • SAPS Firearm competency (Handgun and shotgun)
      • PSIRA Armed responses course
      • Valid driver’s License code B
      • Company Driver’s License (Advantageous

      EXPERIENCE

      • Minimum 3 years’ experience in Security environment or equivalent
      • Experience in Information Gathering/Intelligence

      KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS

      • Computer literacy
      • Counter Industrial Action practical
      • Applicable SAPS firearm competency
      • Communications in English (spoken, written and reading)
      • Writing of statements and opening of case dockets
      • Handling of various emergency situations
      • Psychometric Assessment for firearm users
      • No criminal record
      • Pass polygraph test
      • Protection Services Induction
      • Voluntary Principles on Security and Human Rights
      • Use of Force Procedure
      • AAP Rules of engagement
