      Job summary

      The Short Term Assessment, Rehabilitation and Reablement Service (STARRS) are looking for an innovative and enthusiastic Senior Physiotherapist who will bring new ideas and share their excellent working practice within this busy, friendly and supportive multidisciplinary team.

      STARRS provides Nursing, Occupational Therapy and Physiotherapyservices which can include specialist assessment, equipment and short-term packages of care.

      We are energetic service, which provides acomprehensive service to enable safe, timely Early Supported Discharge from the acute hospital, thereby, reducing the length of hospital stay by continuing patient care at home. The team is operational 7 days a week between the hours of 08:00 and 22:30.

      Main duties of the job

      We require Senior Physiotherapist with experience in a wide variety of clinical areas including the community setting. You will need to be able to demonstrate excellent clinical reasoning, risk assessment, verbal and written communication skills. Due to the response standards for the team you must be able to work under pressure and provide timely specialist Physio assessments and interventions. You will be expected to be able to work autonomously and undertake visits in line with the STARRS' Lone Working Policy.

      Experience of supervising other staff and students would be an advantage.

      You will receive informal and formal supervision from experienced Physiotherapy colleagues within the team. You will have the opportunity to develop and enhance your existing high-level skills in an intermediate care setting. Through our 'Top to Toe' training you will be proficient to undertake advanced clinical assessment of patients, which includes recognsing and managing acutely unwell patients in the community. You will be encouraged to participate in Continuing Professional Development.

      • HCPC Registration
      • Broad range of experience and excellent communication skills
      • Car driver (the Trust has a lease car facility available)
      • Registered car drive with clean UK licence.
