- Due to the nature of the role it is essential that applicants are able to travel independently across the county and have access to a suitable vehicle for business purposes. If necessary, adjustments can be considered in accordance with the Equality Act 2010.
- Membership of Professional body Charted Society of Physiotherapy
- Evidence of post grad qualification relevant to Long term conditions/rehabilitation
- Completed recognised IT course e.g. ECDL/Elite/MOST
- Evidence of clinical expertise and knowledge to Post graduate Diploma level developed through CPD and experience
- Knowledge and experience of using standardised assessments and development of relevant outcome measures
- Demonstrates knowledge of equipment available and able to assess and fit where applicable
- Knowledge and understanding of national legislation, guidance and regulatory framework including NSF, NICE, Information Governance, Equality and Diversity, Data Protection, Safe Guarding, Professional and Clinical Guidelines
- Knowledge of Clinical Governance and implications for patient care
- Knowledge and evidence of participation in clinical audit and evidence gathering methods
- Knowledge of continuous improvement through benchmarking and sharing and utilising best practice
- Knowledge and understanding of Health & Safety in the work environment and implications for service area
- Awareness and understanding of relevant health and Social Care legislation
- Membership of Regional /National Specialist groups/forums

Join Our Team as a Band 6 Physiotherapist in the "Active Together" Service
Are you a passionate and dedicated Physiotherapist looking to make a meaningful impact in the lives of cancer patients?
"Active Together" is a pioneering pre-habilitation and rehabilitation service funded by Yorkshire Cancer Research committed to supporting individuals throughout their cancer journey and improving outcomes for Cancer patients.
We are seeking an experienced Band 6 Physiotherapist to join our dynamic team and contribute to improving patient outcomes through tailored physiotherapy interventions.
You will:- Assess and deliver comprehensive physiotherapy programs tailored to the individual needs of cancer patients, taking into account their personal goals and treatment plans.
- Provide expert guidance on physical activity and lifestyle modifications to support patients' physical and mental well-being
- Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team.
- Utilise evidence-based practices to monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of patient interventions.
- Contribute to the ongoing development and refinement of the "Active Together" service by participating in research and quality improvement projects.
This services will form part of Care Group 4 encompassing Therapies & Dietetics where this services will be supported.
Main duties of the job
We are looking for a highly motivated individual with a keen interest in rehabilitation who has excellent communication and organisational skills. The successful candidate should be able to prioritise work, meet deadlines and work under pressure.
To be successful you will:- Be an experience Physiotherapist with a keen interest in the pre-habilitation and rehabilitation of patients.
- Drive the development and implementation of a new service
- Meet challenging targets and objectives
- Be motivated to provide high quality care
- Be a team player
In return, the successful candidate will be part of a supportive multidisciplinary team. They will receive regular supervision and have an opportunity to gain further skills. There will be opportunities for professional development and developing your expertise within oncology pre-habilitation and rehabilitation.
