POSITION SUMMARY:
The Senior Portfolio Business Manager is accountable for leading the integration of business and clinical planning, including reporting on implementation and outcomes for various initiatives in collaboration with senior leadership. This includes, but is not limited to, collaborating in the development of the strategic plan, deployment of corporate strategic initiatives, and the provision of business support for Clinical Service Plans. The Senior Portfolio Business Manager is responsible for ensuring integration where required, and completion of deliverables in alignment with our strategic and operational plans, and mission, vision, and values. The Senior Portfolio Business Manager is also responsible for supporting the review of corporate and portfolio-based policies and procedures, and identification of new business opportunities and funding opportunities. The Senior Portfolio Business Manager establishes and advances key partnerships (internally and externally) and collaborates with community and regional providers, provincial agencies, funders, and other external key stakeholders, such as the Greater Hamilton Health Network, Ontario Health and Ontario Health West, and the Ministry of Health. The Senior Portfolio Business Manager independently prepares complex and detailed reports and presentations to executive and senior leadership and external partners, including through efficient communication and presentation of intricate program details and data.QUALIFICATIONS:
•Master's degree in related discipline such as MBA, MPH, MHA, MSc required
•3-5 years of formal people/project leadership experience, and at least 3 years of relevant healthcare experience within a large academic health sciences centre
•3-5 years of experience with planning, development, and implementation of business, clinical, and strategic initiatives
•Demonstrated leadership, excellent communication, critical thinking, decision making, problem-solving, and political acuity
•Knowledge of healthcare, hospitals, systems
•Strong business management skills (strategic planning, budgeting, resource allocation, and analytics) and knowledge and experience in co-design with patients, families, and healthcare partners
•Strong skills and training in project management
•Ability to analyze and present clinical and administrative performance data to help guide decision making
•Proven ability to manage multiple, competing priorities in a fast-paced and demanding environment
•Demonstrated collaboration and influencing skills in a complex, high volume, fast paced environment
•Ability to build effective working relations with a variety of stakeholders (front-line staff, senior leadership, executives, physicians) including those internal and external to the organization
•Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation creation/delivery skills including success with submission of business cases and funding proposals to external partners (e.g. Ministry of Health, Ontario Health)
•Experience in leading large-scale change initiatives strongly preferred#SJHHjobs
