      Summary: Dime Community Bank ("Dime") is currently hiring for a Senior Portfolio Manager - Healthcare Lending. The Senior Portfolio Manager - Healthcare Lending is responsible for managing a portfolio of healthcare commercial loans. In addition, the role is responsible for servicing the loans and borrowers in their portfolio. Thorough understanding of the Commercial Lending market with a plus for candidates with knowledge of the long-term care space.

      Salary commensurate with experience, ranging from $150,000 to $170,000 annually. The exact compensation may vary based on relevant experience, skills, education, training, licensure and certifications, and location.

      All applicants must attach a recent resume. This may be a hybrid role (4 days in office/1 day remote) or fully remote role.

      Responsibilities:

      • Communicate with Sponsors / Clients regarding their reporting and covenant compliance responsibilities.
      • Assist in collection of client deliverables including borrowing bases, financial reporting, and covenant compliance certificates.
      • Monitor and proactively manage all aspects of the loan portfolio including loan delinquency, loan reviews, upcoming loan maturities and renewals.
      • Review and analyze financial information.
      • Spread financial statements or tax returns on Dime’s Sageworks banking system.
      • Ensure accurate client data consistency within Sagework’s banking system.
      • Work jointly with Group Leader after a new relationship is onboarded at Dime.
      • Assist Team with Internal and / or external bank audit exams.
      • Validate / analyze reports such as CFE’s, appraisals, engineering reports, financial statements, borrowing base certificates to verify compliance / identify credit warning signs.
      • Ensure timely and appropriate risk rating change recommendations.
      • Assist Group Leader with New Deal Memos.
      • Proactively manage portfolio past due loans and past due annual reviews.
      • Prepare necessary reports for recurring portfolio reviews.
      • Periodically (when the Team is short-handed), assist in underwriting of annual line renewals, annual reviews, and increases / modifications to existing credit relationships.

      Qualifications:

      • Four-year bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration with a concentration in either accounting or finance or equivalent work experience.
      • Minimum 7 years’ experience in Commercial underwriting or Commercial portfolio management.
      • Thorough understanding of the Commercial Lending market with a plus for candidates with knowledge of the long-term care space.
      • Formal credit training preferred.
      • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint).
      • CPA a plus.
      • Effective communication skills, both spoken and written.
      • Ability to adapt to a bank’s databases to research loans and financial documentation.
      • Awareness of banking laws, federal regulations, bank policies, which pertain to the position and business line.
      • Time management, task prioritization, multi-tasking, and key attention to detail.
      • Ability to thoroughly read and comprehend legal commercial loan documentation / and then compare with compliance certificates for accuracy.
      • Ability to communicate / respond / interface with internal bank auditors.
      • Ability to confirm proper accurate compliance reporting by analyzing financial statements.
