      The Role

      We are currently looking to recruit a Principal Engineer to join our team in our Livingston Design Centre.

      In this role, you will;

      • Act as Cross-Discipline product development Expert for complex products / architectures specializing in one or more areas; Hardware, Software or Systems Engineering
      • Serve as a technical and/or project team lead or consultant, providing technical guidance and motivation for teams, controlling scope, schedule, budget and ensuring overall technical success on large global projects.
      • Technical risk management and early detection of project scope changes; Recording of project and technical risks and development of risk reduction concepts
      • You will create and evaluate technical concepts and act as a technical decision maker
      • Provides technical and/or team lead mentorship and coaching across multiple projects and sites
      • Carrying out project reviews and developing proposals and solution concepts to overcome identified project deficits and risks
      • Creation of project status reports and customer presentations
      • Preparation of offers for the development of industrial, medical, laboratory automation and aerospace products in close cooperation with the responsible project manager and presentation of the offer to the customer
      • Customer discussions for a better understanding of the project goals and for technical clarification
      • Running and driving global Continuous Improvement initiatives to ensure best practices are used throughout the functional groups and the design center
      • Engineering representative at company-wide strategy conferences and at regular management conferences and meetings

      Education/Experience Qualifications:

      • A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering is required; Master's degree in Engineering or higher is preferred .

      • Fifteen (15) years or more of related experience is required
