Support the delivery of detailed privacy assessments involving complex digital tools and emerging technologies
Base Salary $140,913 - $148,684 + 17% superannuation
manage project organisation and implementation to increase privacy compliance and maturity
deliver and coordinate detailed privacy assessments involving complex digital tools and emerging technologies
coordinate the management of mandatory data breach reporting
implement and monitor systems, and procedures to track and improve efficient privacy program operations
manage work activity and allocation to ensure ongoing achievement of milestones and deliverables for the University’s privacy program
provide privacy advice, support and training across the University’s diverse business areas.
tertiary qualifications in a relevant field or an equivalent combination of relevant training and experience
high level understanding of, or experience in, Privacy by Design
previous experience in the higher education/tertiary sector or at a complex, multi-faceted organisation
strong knowledge of and experience with privacy legislation
strong understanding of digital operating environments and emerging technologies.
About the opportunity
The Senior Privacy Specialist significantly contributes to the management of the University’s privacy risk by coordinating the development of the University’s privacy risk assessments and Privacy by Design strategies in the University’s business systems and processes. The Senior Privacy Specialist works to ensure conformance to relevant privacy laws and requirements by applying deep privacy knowledge in a wide array of complex technical and process environments and projects.
