What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Own the financial reporting product roadmap, including subledgers and reconciliation tooling
- Collaborate with Engineering to define subledger patterns and accounting-engineering interfaces
- Translate accounting policies and audit requirements into product specifications and engineering needs
- Lead matching and reconciliation strategies, including automation for high-volume accounts
- Manage product discovery, prioritization, and cross-functional programs to ensure successful delivery
What is Required (Qualifications):
- 4+ years of product management experience with financial platforms or data products
- Hands-on accounting experience with ownership of month-end close, reconciliations, and audits
- Proven knowledge of financial systems, journal-entry design, and SOX controls
- Strong technical fluency in data models, SQL, and API design
- Exceptional communication skills with the ability to influence cross-functional teams
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- CPA certification preferred, though practical domain expertise is more important
- Willingness to work East Coast hours
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Computer Science, or related fields
