- Support the effective delivery of the Foundation’s programmes in Eastern Europe.
- Manage the financial operations of multi-year, high-complexity projects, with support from the wider team.
- Oversee reporting processes – both financial and narrative-based (including reviewing partner reports as well as our donors).
- Monitor progress against plans and strategies and support the Project Manager to identify emerging risks, issues and lessons which could impact the successful delivery of the project.
- Maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including beneficiaries and experts, as agreed with the Project Manager.
- Provide logistial support for activities including workshops and mentoring schemes.
- Contribute to other aspects of the project management cycle, including strategic planning, monitoring and evaluation processes.
- Previous experience of working on and implementing a successful project, preferably in journalism/media, international relations, international development or a related field.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to establish and maintain working relationships both internally and externally.
- An interest in journalism and an understanding of the role that the media can play.
- Proficiency in other languages such as Russian, Ukrainian, Georgian or Romanian is desirable.
- A good understanding of project cycle management, risk management and stakeholder management.
- A solution-focused mindset, who can help us navigate potential obstacles within our project plans.
- Experience in grant management or the management of associated financial and narrative reporting processes Strong IT skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.

Senior Project Coordinator - Thomson Reuters Foundation
Please note, this is a 2-year fixed-term opportunity based in London.

The Foundation is offering an exciting opportunity for a Senior Project Coordinator to join our Programmes Team and support the delivery of new projects in Eastern Europe, particularly in Ukraine, Moldova and Georgia. In this role, you'll work alongside the Regional Programme Manager, Project Manager and Project Coordinator to ensure the successful delivery of the Foundation’s objectives.
The Senior Project Coordinator will be expected to provide cross-cutting operational and administrative support to ensure the successful delivery of the project activities, as well as taking the lead in aspects of project cycle management where appropriate. The successful candidate will be a proactive self-starter with existing experience of project coordination, an appetite to further develop project management skills, and a willingness to work flexibly to meet the demands of the project.
There are significant opportunities for the right candidate to grow in this role, as TRF develops and grows its strategy and approach to the wider region with the objective of strengthening independent media.
