Job Description

- Leads the technical project execution: manages internal & external technical interfaces, manages engineering budget & planning, leads product design engineers to complete engineering tasks, provides support to operations (purchasing, quality, manufacturing …), remains focused on change orders related to the technical subjects, provides competent input to risk assessments related to equipment, maintains project files in an auditable condition.
- Develops customer relationship by providing efficient technical support, attends in-person customer project meetings.
- Ensures customer requirements are understood and implemented.
- For project quotation and execution, contributes to the definition of equipment lists, conducts system design reviews and attends product design reviews as required to ensure customer / industry requirements are satisfied.
- Prepares and reviews master engineering documentation (system data sheet, interface data sheet, master equipment list, master document register, key layouts, …).
- Provides technical inputs to the Project Manager related to project execution plan, monthly reporting, project schedule, project SQDC targets.
- Provides input to the Project Engineering Manager in establishing the technical project organization in order to meet objectives and other relevant strategic goals.
- Provides technical support to Sales and Front-End Engineering teams.
- Supports project quotations by reviewing technical specifications and clarifications, defining the scope in line with the specifications (keeping focus on project cost optimization), defining engineering plan & associated budget.
- Participates to tender strategy meeting and management review of final tender as part of the key stakeholders.
- Generates system procedure (SIT/ EFAT) and provides assistance during the testing phase.
- Ensures efficient resource utilization and input for development of people within the program in liaison with PMO Manager, line managers and Manager of Projects.
- Works for a proper technical handover from Project hardware team to Aftermarket (Customer Support / Life of Field).
- Contributes to the continuous improvement of BPMS.
- BS or MSc in Engineering (Mechanical, Hydraulic, Electric, Automation).
- Several years’ experience as a project engineer with TechnipFMC equipment or similar competitor equipment
- Substantial post graduate experience with TechnipFMC equipment or similar competitor equipment
- Good negotiating, writing and presentation skills in order to effectively communicate with internal and external contacts
- Outgoing, self-directed, and creative to be able to identify and maximize opportunities
- Works under limited supervision, uses own judgment to seek guidance from supervisor and/or colleagues where appropriate
- Creativity, planning and resourcefulness required in implementing the Project Engineering process and ensuring projects are executed within the target timing and costs
- Ability to transfer knowledge and expertise
- Engineering tools applications (TCE, NX, Inventor, …), basic SAP applications (e.g. time management), Microsoft Office applications and applicable resource planning tool (e.g. MS Project)
- Advanced knowledge in calculations (including Finite Element Analysis) to drive design decisions
- Efficient problem-solving skills
- Good command of English
- Ability to functionally lead a team of engineers and drive technical discussions to get adequate decisions
- Project management skills
- Knowledge in Surface Drilling and Completion Systems, EP Production Systems, Shallow Water Production Systems
- Experience working with ERP systems (SAP)
