Job Description

- Manage the full lifecycle of permit-related projects-from initial filing to certificate of occupancy or completion.
- Review architectural and civil plans for Department of Buildings (DOB) submission.
- Coordinate and communicate with clients, plans examiners, and internal teams.
- Serve as the central point of contact on assigned projects, ensuring status updates and alignment with client expectations.
- Oversee deliverables including entitlements, timelines, vendor coordination, and risk tracking.
- Resolve project challenges with professionalism and urgency.
- Ensure compliance with internal procedures and project quality standards.
- Prepare reports, documentation, and milestone updates for leadership and clients.
- Contribute to productivity goals and continuous improvement efforts.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in project management, permitting, or related fields.
- Strong understanding of permitting processes, including historic boards, ARB, and DOT.
- Ability to read and analyze architectural/civil drawings.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills-written, verbal, and client-facing.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities with a track record of managing multiple priorities.
- Comfort working independently and collaboratively across teams.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, and Adobe Acrobat.
- Bachelor's degree.
- Experience in expediting, civil engineering, architecture, or construction.
- Familiarity with municipal permitting portals and regional compliance requirements.
- Ability to analyze building and zoning codes.
- This is a remote position.
- Standard hours: Monday-Friday, 8:30 AM-5:00 PM
- Full-time, 40 hours/week.
- Salary range: $77,000-$100,000/year, based on experience and qualifications.

Position Overview
We're seeking a Senior Project Manager - Permitting (SPM) to join our high-performing team. In this role, you'll take the lead on project execution from start to finish-owning the permitting process, coordinating with internal and external stakeholders, and ensuring timely delivery. You'll act as the primary client liaison, track project milestones, implement problem-solving solutions when needed, and drive best practices in compliance and execution.
