- Leading and coordinating multi-disciplinary project teams to ensure successful project execution, on-time delivery, and adherence to quality standards.
- Build and manage relationships with key clients
- Identify and track marketing leads
- Make presentation, write proposals and scopes of work
- Conducting feasibility studies, site evaluations, and environmental impact assessments to assess the viability and sustainability of land development projects.
- Collaborating with stakeholders, including clients, government agencies, architects, and contractors, to establish project goals, budgets, and timelines.
- Managing project budgets, monitoring expenses, and implementing cost-saving measures without compromising project quality.
- Supervising the design and engineering aspects of the project, including site layout, infrastructure development, grading, drainage, and utility systems.
- Ensuring compliance with local regulations, zoning laws, and environmental standards throughout the project lifecycle.
- Identifying potential risks and implementing effective risk management strategies to mitigate project challenges.
- Reviewing and approving engineering plans, specifications, and construction documents to ensure accuracy and compliance with project requirements.
- Overseeing construction activities and coordinating with contractors to maintain project progress and address any construction-related issues.
- Providing regular project updates and reports to stakeholders and senior management, communicating effectively about project status, risks, and achievements.
- Mentoring and guiding junior team members, fostering a culture of professional growth and knowledge sharing.
- Staying abreast of industry trends, technological advancements, and best practices to continually improve project outcomes.
- A bachelor's or master's degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent work experience
- Professional Engineer registration (P.E.) in Arizona preferred
- Ten or more years of diversified experience in growing and leading a private land development practice in the Arizona market
- Business development and marketing experience including; writing proposals, scopes of work, and budgets for projected work
- Strong desire and ability to be engaged with clients solving project problems and working with the team to deliver
- Familiarity with Arizona Stormwater requirements and local codes preferred
- Must have a thorough understanding of project accounting and demonstrated ability to manage the schedule and budget for multiple projects at the same time
- Has experience in marketing and supervision of the technical work of others
- Has working knowledge of CADD and or civil 3D software (Civil 3D preferred), and office support software required to perform the essential functions of the position
- Must possess a valid driver’s license and be able to operate a motor vehicle
