Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Rural Community Rehabilitation Team based in Wincanton, covering Wincanton Hospital and the Community.
Do you enjoy completing prescription rehabilitation from both Physiotherapists and Occupational Therapists with a complex variety caseload during their inpatient stay or within their own homes?
Do you enjoy participation and running of groups such as exercise classes, mindfulness sessions, Breakfast clubs and Balance and Safety groups?
Come and join our friendly therapy team which consists of Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists and Senior Rehabilitation Assistants.
Main duties of the job
To work as an integral member of the Community Rehabilitation Service providing effective support to Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists, and any other team members
To work with patients undertaking therapy/rehabilitation programmes to support and encourage them to achieve their optimum level of independence and quality of life, as directed by team therapists
To work with patients in a range of community locations, including community hospitals, care home rehabilitation units and in service users own homes with overall supervision from rehabilitation professionals.
