What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Research, analyze, and maintain complex reimbursement programs for traditional and managed care
- Serve as a technical advisor on provider reimbursement issues, collaborating with various internal departments
- Identify and resolve claims and provider reimbursement-related system problems
- Develop complex financial pricing models and conduct financial data analysis
- Provide statistical reports to support internal strategies and external customer needs
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor's degree in statistics, accounting, finance, math, or a related field
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in health industry accounting functions, including billing and coding
- Strong analytical, oral and written communication skills with a high degree of accuracy
- Proficiency with database, spreadsheet, and word processing software
- Understanding of physician charge practices and billing methodologies
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Master's degree or active pursuit of a Master's degree in Business, Information Systems, Healthcare Administration, or Public Health
- Experience with provider contract analysis and reimbursement program implementation
- Coding designation (CPC or CPHC) in pursuit
