What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Manage day-to-day functions of assigned accounts, focusing on Medicare billing and collections
- Maintain and update billing activity, ensuring accurate and timely billing and collections
- Generate and monitor aging reports to track outstanding payments
- Provide exceptional customer service to internal and external customers, both in person and over the phone
- Process third-party and patient remittances, including posting payments and adjustments
What is Required (Qualifications):
- High School Diploma or GED
- Three to five years of experience in medical billing or collections, specifically with Medicare, Medicaid, and third-party payers
- Proficiency in English and strong mathematical skills
- Familiarity with PC software and accounts receivable systems, including basic typing skills
- Ability to communicate effectively and maintain confidentiality in a professional environment
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Vocational or technical training related to medical billing
- Associate Degree or certification in Medical Billing
- Five or more years of experience specifically in Medicare billing and collections for home infusion
- Knowledge of pharmacy operations
- Certification as a Pharmacy Technician
