What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Evaluate and implement state-of-the-art AI, information retrieval (IR), and search techniques into products
- Improve and invent new AI, IR, and search features and capabilities
- Present research findings to the team, customers, and the community
- Consume literature and learn about the latest advancements in AI, IR, and search
- Collect data, train models, run evaluations, and publish technical reports and papers
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Ph.D. in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Data Science, or a related field
- Proven track record of impactful research with publications in top-tier conferences and journals
- Experience as an effective team member in product-centric engineering groups
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience in implementing proof of concepts (POCs) of new features and capabilities into products
- Familiarity with presenting technical findings to a broader audience
- Background in developing AI applications in production environments
