What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Analyze property risks related to natural catastrophes such as fire, earthquake, and flood
- Manage client, carrier, and insurance brokerage relationships effectively
- Provide strategic consulting and client advocacy across various occupancies
- Compile data and analyze natural catastrophe exposure at client locations
- Participate in vendor management and coordinate vendor RFPs
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent experience
- 3 to 10 years of experience with an insurance carrier, vendor, or in property risk engineering
- Proficiency in understanding and applying NFPA and FM Global standards
- Strong communication skills to explain property risk management concepts
- Ability to travel approximately 30% of the time within the U.S.
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience with construction, occupancy, protection, and exposure (COPE) data
- Familiarity with brokerage submission information and data analysis
- Knowledge of jurisdictional inspection requirements and natural catastrophe data modeling
- Self-motivated and able to work independently
- Capability to access various building locations during surveys
