What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Conduct advanced risk assessments of power generation machinery and fire protection equipment
- Provide consultative services to clients, identifying exposures with significant loss potential
- Deliver power generation training for Risk Engineering and Underwriting staff
- Manage account risk portfolios and ensure compliance with underwriting requirements
- Develop and implement customer service strategies aimed at reducing loss and improving operations
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor’s Degree and 6+ years of experience in Power Generation Risk Engineering or equivalent experience
- High School Diploma or Equivalent with 8+ years of relevant experience
- Experience working in a team environment
- Knowledge of exposures, controls, and best practice risk improvement
- For Risk Engineering Specialist: 8+ years of experience in Risk Engineering or related field
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- 10+ years of experience in Risk Engineering or power generation plant operations
- Military experience in propulsion plants and power generation equipment
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills
- Certification in Risk Engineering Power Generation Machinery Breakdown assessments
- Related energy industry experience
