      This is a key role at an exciting time in the evolution of the Risk function to support the Head of Risk Advice in a small but busy Risk team which is part of a larger Affluent Risk team.

      You will work alongside our Risk and Compliance colleagues across the Risk function so you will be a part of a wider Risk and Compliance community and have opportunities to learn about other areas of the Quilter business.

      This is an ideal role for someone who has experience of risk management and who would like to lead activity, providing advice and guidance direct to the business.

      Risk Appetite & TRA Frameworks

      • Contribute to the development of Quilter’s risk strategy and associated risk appetite framework.
      • Assist the Head of risk Advice with the development and maintenance of the Group Risk Appetite framework, including monitoring and annual refresh and manage related governance requirements.

      Reporting & Risk Profile Assessment

      • Input into the key messaging around risk profile and top risks for Risk management information (MI), working collaboratively with other Risk teams towards the production of quality and insightful Risk reporting.

      Business Relationship Management

      • Provides advice and guidance to stakeholders regarding business strategies and opportunities, providing appropriate challenge and an independent view of the risks being faced, together with mitigation.
      • Represent the Risk team at select meetings, providing advice and challenge to the business.
      • Development and delivery of Risk training across the business.

      Monitoring & Oversight of Risk

      • Lead and oversee risk advisory reviews, following a risk-based approach, drawing on support from other Risk teams as relevant.
      • Support the delivery of the core components of the risk management framework including:
      • Incident management oversight including facilitating resolution of complex events
      • Recommending updates to the risk appetite framework and assessment and reporting on key risk indicators.

      Operational Risk Scenarios, Stress Tests and Wind Down Plans

      • Provides support to the Prudential Risk team in the identification of, design and modelling operational risk scenarios.
      • Provide oversight to 1st line stress testing and scenario analysis to identify current and potential risks.

      Risk Leadership

      • Uses in-depth knowledge and experience to support colleagues, promoting a climate of continuous improvement and ensuring best practice is applied across the function.
      • Provide support and mentoring to other risk colleagues, sharing learnings and experience to assist with their professional development.

      You will have:

      • Experience of 2nd line risk management in an FCA regulated Financial Services environment.

      • Knowledge of EU, PRA and FCA risk management expectations including Solvency II, CRD IV and specifically ORSA and ICAAP experience.

      • Excellent communication skills (both written and oral), with strong stakeholder management & relationship building skills.
