- Providing guidance to Superintendents, and Supervisors in the implementation of the safety program, and concrete best practices.
- Conduct training for Swinerton employees on concrete best practices.
- Provide consultation and technical support on concrete safety-related matters.
- Assist in safety training for new employees as well as continuing education for concrete craft.
- Assist project teams with incident/accident investigations.
- Participate in concrete preconstruction meetings.
- Assisting project teams in the pre-planning process including Job Hazard Analysis (JHA) procedures for unusual or high hazard activities.
- Ensure that site-specific orientation and training sessions are attended by appropriate personnel.
- Ensuring that safety required documentation is recorded, organized in site files, and shared when appropriate.
- Performing daily jobsite inspections to identify actual or potential safety hazards or unsafe activities and ensure that such safety concerns are corrected.
Job Description Summary:
Seeking an experienced Concrete Safety Manager with working knowledge in cast in place concrete construction practices for various core and shell and ground up projects. Individual will be serving the Swinerton Nor-Cal region. Candidate should be experienced in all phases of the concrete construction process including the installation and removal of site fabricated and pre-engineered formwork, decking systems and concrete placement. Candidate will lead safety for our concrete teams and assist our divisional and site level safety professionals in conducting and utilizing hazard assessments to ensure all appropriate industry best practices and hazard controls are fully implemented throughout the construction process.Job Description:

Minimum skills or experience required:
• 10 years Concrete Trade Experience
• 3 years experience in safety, environmental and health related field
• Ability to evaluate construction work activities with respect to safety and loss control
• Ability to recognize and analyze Company trends with respect to Company accidents
• Ability to recognize training needs and develop training in safety
• Presentation skills
• Strong organizational and management skills
• Demonstrated leadership and mentoring abilities
• Valid Driver’s License• Travel required throughout Northern California

Compensation Range
Annual Salary: $110,000.00 - $165,000.00About the company
