Serve as the primary technical owner of the Salesforce platform, including data model, security architecture, integrations, and overall system design
Design and maintain scalable, secure Salesforce solutions aligned with institutional priorities and long-term growth
Own platform governance, technical standards, and best practices
Lead hands-on configuration and customization, including:
Custom objects, fields, page layouts, flows, validation rules, and permissions
User roles, profiles, permission sets, and security controls
Implement enhancements that improve operational efficiency, data integrity, and user experience
Evaluate and deploy new Salesforce features and releases
Partner with IT, data, and analytics teams to support integrations with enterprise systems (e.g., ERP, data platforms, marketing tools)
Ensure data quality, reporting accuracy, and appropriate data access across teams
Support data governance and compliance efforts, including privacy and security requirements
Work closely with functional leaders to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions
Provide guidance to internal users on platform capabilities and best practices
Collaborate with external systems integrators while maintaining internal platform ownership
Ensure Salesforce configuration aligns with healthcare, nonprofit, and university compliance requirements (HIPAA, data privacy, security standards)
Implement and monitor security controls, audit logs, and access policies
Contribute to platform documentation and operational runbooks
5+ years of hands-on Salesforce platform experience (engineering, administration, or architecture)
Proven experience leading Salesforce implementations or major enhancements
Strong understanding of Salesforce security, data modeling, and automation tools (Flows, Process Automation)
Experience working in healthcare, higher education, nonprofit, or other regulated environments
Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Experience with Salesforce Nonprofit Success Pack (NPSP), Nonprofit Cloud, or similar nonprofit data models
Salesforce certifications (Administrator, Advanced Administrator, Platform App Builder, Platform Developer I/II)
Experience partnering with systems integrators while serving as internal platform owner
Familiarity with reporting, dashboards, and analytics within Salesforce
Exposure to Marketing Cloud, Experience Cloud, or Data Cloud is a plus
This is a remote position.
Superlanet is seeking a Salesforce Platform Engineer to serve as the technical owner of the Salesforce platform across development, advancement, research, and engagement initiatives, for our healthcare client. This role is responsible for hands-on configuration, platform architecture, and long-term evolution of Salesforce to support a rapidly growing academic medical institution. This is a direct hire, primarily remote position.
The ideal candidate brings deep Salesforce implementation and platform experience, operates comfortably in regulated healthcare and nonprofit environments, and can translate complex business processes into scalable Salesforce solutions. This role partners closely with business stakeholders, data teams, and external implementation partners while retaining internal ownership of the platform.
