Represent Protein Sciences at the project team level, helping to guide new targets from gene to screen.
Troubleshoot scientific and technical challenges. Mentor more junior scientists to do the same.
Design constructs for expression in bacterial, insect, and mammalian cells to produce high quality recombinant proteins, protein complexes, and RNA.
Purify and characterize recombinant proteins to enable high throughput assays, biophysical assays, and structural efforts.
Prepare internally reviewed technical reports, make oral presentations to scientists and management, and publish externally.
Bachelor's Degree with 9+ years of experience OR Master's degree with 7+ years of Experience or PhD with no experience
Strong documented experience in protein biochemistry, protein purification, protein modification using enzymatic and chemical methods, and biophysical characterization.
Experience with antibody engineering in developing ImmunoTherapeutics.
Experience and knowledge in operation of modern mass spectrometry platforms and associated data analysis packages.
Expert level knowledge of assay development methodologies for binding and functional activity
Ability to deliver results on goals in a fast-paced, dynamic and highly multi-tasking environment.
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Experience with methods for successful purification of integral membrane proteins and nanoparticles (SMALP,, Nanodisc, etc)
Computational skills using Biacore, Octet, Microsoft Excel, and other applications designed to evaluate, process, and manage biosensor data
Protein engineering and/or thermal stabilization experience
Sitting, standing, lifting, bending, and walking.
Ability to perform practical laboratory bench work and work on a computer (while standing or sitting).
Ability to perform mathematical calculations and interpret data.
Relocation support available.

The annual base salary for this position ranges from $88,300.00 to $147,100.00. In addition, this position is eligible for participation in Pfizer’s Global Performance Plan with a bonus target of 12.5% of the base salary and eligibility to participate in our share based long term incentive program.
