      What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
      - Build integration with an FFIEC-approved bank core and connections to payment networks
      - Design internal APIs for product teams to interface with complex external systems
      - Manage enterprise integration challenges such as retries, failures, and format mismatches
      - Develop data pipelines to synchronize Mercury's systems with the bank core
      - Oversee monitoring and recovery for critical external connections

      What is Required (Qualifications):
      - Direct experience with a bank core that has achieved FFIEC compliance or with a US-based Global Systemically Important Bank (G-SIB)
      - Understanding of core banking systems including accounts, transactions, and ledgers
      - Ability to think from a product perspective, focusing on developers consuming APIs
      - Comfort with Haskell and TypeScript or willingness to learn
      - Strong opinions on building reliable and maintainable systems

      - Experience in building new systems rather than maintaining established ones
      - Passion for creating clean abstractions that simplify complex integrations
