What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Own and deliver quarterly goals for your team while leading engineers through ambiguity to solve open-ended problems
- Collaborate with product management, design, and analytics during the product development lifecycle
- Proactively identify and advocate for solutions to project, process, technology, or business issues
- Create and monitor metrics to support the operations and availability of your team’s artifacts
- Foster a culture of quality and ownership by setting and improving code review and design standards
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Minimum of 4 years of experience designing, developing, and launching backend systems at scale using languages like Python or Kotlin
- Proven track record of developing highly available distributed systems using technologies like AWS, MySQL, and Kubernetes
- Experience defining a technical plan for significant features or system components with elegant and extensible design
- Strong verbal and written communication skills to facilitate collaboration with a global engineering team
- Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent practical experience
