What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Own mission-critical pipeline reliability, ensuring 99.9% uptime for production data pipelines
- Design and implement automated monitoring, testing, and recovery systems for data pipelines
- Deploy CI/CD pipelines and self-service platforms to expedite model deployment for Data Scientists
- Optimize data pipelines for exponential growth while meeting compliance requirements
- Partner with Sales, Finance, and Product teams to align data infrastructure with business needs
What is Required (Qualifications):
- 6+ years of software engineering experience in backend, distributed systems, or data-focused roles
- Proven experience designing and running large-scale, production-grade data pipelines
- Proficiency in Python, Spark/PySpark, Airflow, SQL, dbt, Databricks, Snowflake, and AWS
- Proven track record of driving pipeline reliability to 99%+ uptime, including SLAs and observability tooling
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Applied Sciences, Information Systems, or related quantitative fields
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience building or operating AI/ML data pipelines
- Background in high-growth environments requiring frequent re-architecture and optimization
- Familiarity with compliance frameworks such as GDPR, SOC2, and FedRAMP
- Knowledge of multi-region data architectures or cellular/multi-tenant systems
- Advanced degree in Computer Science or related fields
