What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Lead the design and development of new features and improvements to existing features
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and build impactful roadmaps
- Establish best practices for Event Driven Architecture and safe feature rollout
- Mentor junior engineers and promote a culture of technical excellence
- Contribute to quality improvements within the team and engineering organization
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field
- 5+ years of professional experience in software engineering
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
- Proficiency in one or more of Kotlin, Java, Python, Ruby, or TypeScript programming languages
- Experience in building highly observable systems and proficiency in automated testing patterns
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience with Kafka and gRPC
- Familiarity with A/B testing and/or Feature Flagging
- Strong sense of ownership and accountability for quality and timely delivery of work
- Ability to thrive in both self-directed and collaborative work environments
- Experience mentoring junior engineers
