What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Collaborate with product managers and safety teams to design and build maps infrastructure and pipelines
- Own the design and implementation of scalable frontend and backend services for map data
- Advocate for technical excellence and navigate tradeoffs in project execution
- Communicate effectively with both engineering teams and internal product partners
- Champion company cultural principles while scaling operations globally
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience
- 5+ years of experience as a software engineer
- Fullstack or backend development experience
- Strong programming fundamentals and experience with high-scale systems
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Proven experience with mapping, routing, or navigation products
- Passion for mentoring junior engineers
- Experience thriving in early-stage teams and scaling through post-startup phases
- Willingness to engage directly with customers when necessary
