What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Design, implement, and maintain the core components of the Walrus decentralized storage network
- Collaborate with various teams to enhance the security, performance, and reliability of the Walrus network
- Optimize existing systems for scalability and efficiency
- Integrate new features and technologies in collaboration with other teams at the employer
- Ensure the safe and efficient operation of the Walrus network
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in systems and/or network programming, ideally in Rust, C, or C++
- Experience in designing and developing distributed systems, storage/database systems, or high-performance systems
- Proven production experience managing and operating reliable systems with a focus on monitoring and alerting
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
- Demonstrated ability to drive complex projects to successful completion
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Familiarity with Rust programming language
- Previous experience with blockchain technology or cryptographic protocols
- Significant contributions to open-source projects
- Research experience (formal or informal) on relevant computer science topics
