      Job Description

      This is a full-time remote position that can be located anywhere in the U.S.

      Responsible for Quality Assurance (QA) testing for GENEX services by actively performing test execution to validate the software solution meets the business requirements, design and acceptance criteria. Partnership through the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) with business and developers to understand requirements and design solutions. Provide Quality Assurance testing support during the implementation of new initiatives, releases, enhancements, technical upgrades, and bug fixes for GENEX applications.

      Responsibilities:

      • Collaborates closely with development teams and project managers to understand project requirements, design documents, crosswalk documents, acceptance criteria and provides feedback to ensure the software meets quality standards
      • Creates and executes detailed test plans/test cases and creates test data
      • Ensures all testing activities are conducted systematically, effectively and follow department guidelines
      • Performs functional testing - tests specific changes/enhancements, including positive and negative scenarios
      • Performs regression testing – tests core functionality of the various Genex applications
      • System integration testing – tests integration with other key application dependencies both upstream and downstream
      • Identifies, documents, and reports defects/bugs as part of QA execution testing
      • Works directly with development team on defects and re-testing bug fixes
      • Tracks progress of projects, change and release tasks and provides QA updates/status
      • Works with offshore teams. Able to work off-hours when required

      Qualifications

      • Requires a minimum of 8 years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree; or 6 years and a Master’s degree; or a PhD with 3 years experience; or equivalent work experience
      • Possess a keen eye for detail and an understanding of project requirements
      • Understanding of Testing Methodologies/Best Practices, data mapping and crosswalks
      • Experience in Agile methodologies, SQL, Azure DevOps Services, APIs, EDIs, Teams, Slack, and Excel
      • Ability to understand complex application systems
      • Working knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
      • Experience in producing documentation for Test Strategy, Test Plans, QA Assessments, Test Scenarios and Defect/Bug Reporting/Tracking
      • Ability to provide work estimates and consistently deliver to committed dates
      • Strong work ethic and works with a sense of urgency, ownership and accountability
      • Ability to multi-task and to work in a dynamic fast paced environment of changing priorities
      • Excellent critical thinking skills along with good organizational skills
      • Effective written and oral communications

The expected base pay for this position ranges from $87,000 - $125,000 annually, and will be based on a number of additional factors including skills, experience, and education.
