      Senior Sourcing Engineers

      JOB DESCRIPTION

      • Serve as Project Leader for a global initiative to consolidate current electronics distribution network to enhance visibility, lower lead times, increase buffer inventories, lower costs, and generally position for continued global growth.
      • Ultimately responsible for the interface with component manufacturers, distribution channels, and PCBA contract manufacturers to pull-in component supply and inventory buffers.
      • Execute purchasing responsibilities to maximize supply continuity, growth potential, and profitability of the business unit (BU).
      • Coordinate and build strong relationships across the organization, including with the Brookfield, Wisconsin, and Asia-based supply chain, engineering, and marketing functions. May manage project team members.
      • Manage the existing electronics supplier base including driving continuous improvement to key metrics including cost reduction, lead time, service level, quality DPPM, payment terms, and inventory.
      • Support new product development by working with a cross-functional teams that include Engineering, Marketing, Quality, Operations, and Finance to successfully develop and execute new product launches.
      • Work independently and assist the Global Sourcing Manager to execute sourcing and supply strategies that maximize supply continuity, growth potential, and profitability of the business unit (BU).
      • Coordinate and build strong relationships with the engineering, marketing, and demand planning functions of the BUs to consolidate long-term forecast and component needs.
      • Support a rapid new product development cycle with upwards of 100 simultaneous projects through demand consolidation and executing risk buy releases.
      • Support new product development (NPD) projects by collaborating and closely working with a cross-functional team that includes Engineering, Marketing, Supply Chain, Quality, Operations, and Finance to successfully develop and execute new product launches.
      • Search global electronics databases for spot buy opportunities and confirm technical compatibility and availability with distribution channels.
      • Establish relationships and maintain regular contact with component manufacturers and Asia-based TTI Sourcing, Purchasing, and Planning & Supply Chain teams to ensure commitment of appropriate supply and component inventory buffers.
      • Manage GES excel trackers, consolidate, and report any critical shortages requiring escalation to senior management.
      • Periodic travel to TTI manufacturing locations and/or supplier sites, as required, to support the global electronics sourcing projects.

      Bachelor’s or equivalent degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related engineering field, and 5 years of relevant experience as an Engineer or related; OR Master's or equivalent degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related engineering field, and 2 years of relevant experience as an Engineer or related.

      Experience must include:

      • Electronic component sourcing.
      • PowerBI and Teamcenter.
      • 8 bit and 32 bit microcontrollers (discrete and SoC), ASICs (application-specific integrated circuits [ICs]), analog power management (MOSFETs), motion/acceleration/field sensors, battery management, and motor drive.
      • Power tool and li-ion battery end equipment.
      • Supply chain or operations including semiconductor manufacturers, distributors, and contract manufacturers.
      • Financial principles, market trends, benchmarking, demand, and supply related to the semiconductor market.
      • Negotiation of pricing, contracts, commercial terms, deliveries, and consignment agreements with semiconductor suppliers.

      Ability to travel up to 10% domestically and internationally.
