  We are looking for a talented Senior Sourcing Specialist - Batteries to join our team specializing in Purchasing for our Accelera Business by Cummins in Columbus, IN.

  In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

  • Conducts complex analysis of markets, supply chains, and supply base; applies analysis to sourcing process improvement initiatives.
  • Identifies qualified suppliers and executes sound source selection processes.
  • Has regular interface with suppliers within area of responsibility and maintains the supplier relationship.
  • Understands how key purchasing principles are used toward assuring supply.
  • Sources specialized items and executes complex sourcing strategies in accordance with agreed upon sourcing strategy / plans at the optimum cost, quality and relationship.
  • Independently carries out sourcing activities with full consideration for the impact of those activities on the end-to-end supply chain.

  Education, Licenses, Certifications

  College, university, or equivalent degree in field appropriate for the function required.
  This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.

  Experience

  Intermediate level of related work experience required

  Role under the eMobility Battery Strategic Sourcing team.

  Global sourcing support for primarily Accelera, but also other BUs(i.e. PSBU, DBU).

  Lead cost reduction initiatives, warranty recovery, supplier change requests, and contract management.

  Relationship management with suppliers across regions (US, Europe, and Asia).

  Collaboration with cross-functional teams (technical/engineering, supplier quality, service, warranty, and P&L) on both current product and VPI (Value Product Introduction) programs.

  Base salary range: $73,600 - $110,400

  Please note that the salary range provided is a good faith estimate on the applicable range. The final salary offer will be determined after considering relevant factors, including a candidate’s qualifications and experience, where appropriate.
