      Senior Functional Specialist Instrumentation Engineer

      Calgary, AB

      Purpose of the Role:

      As a Senior Functional Specialist Instrumentation Engineer at Worley, you play a pivotal role as a subject matter expert (SME) in a specialized discipline within our global organization. Your expertise will be crucial in collaborating with end users to develop industry leading Inspection, Testing and Preventive Maintenance planning for all types of instrumented assets. You will be recognized both within and outside the organization, operating at a regional to global level.

      What you will bring

      Expertise and Recognition:

      • Possesses an expert level of competency in Functional Safety, both within and outside the company, typically at a regional to global level.
      • Holds a 4 or 5-year technical degree in science or engineering, or equivalent experience.
      • Maintains active licensing with Alberta provincial engineering governing bodies where required by law, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. Additional provincial licences are an asset.
      • Holds a valid certification and or certificate in Functional Safety (IEC-61511) issued by one or more of the following programs Exida (CFSP), ISA(SFS), TÜV Rheinland (FSEng), TÜV SUD (FSP).

      Professional Experience:

      • Brings a wealth of experience, typically 15+ years, showcasing a strong background in discipline work.
      • Demonstrates advanced knowledge of regulations, codes, manufacturing standards, and industry practices, aligning with Worley's commitment to delivering sustainable change.
      • Demonstrates experience, typically 5+ years, in the development of documentation related to SIS like: SIL verification and calculations. SRS, FSMP, SIS maintenance procedures.
      • Demonstrates applied knowledge of IEC-61511, IEC-61508, ISA TR84.00.02, ISA TR84.00.03, ISA TR96.05.01 as well other related standards and good practices.

      Additional benefits:

      • Opportunity to work remotely with occasional office presence.
      • Opportunity to travel for short durations (approx. 2 weeks) to customer locations.
