      • The budgeted range starts at $55,000 - $69,575. Actual pay will be adjusted based on experience.


      Job Summary:

      The Senior Specialist, VRR Planning & Projects, will provide direct support for the planning and execution programs and projects in support of Vail Resorts Retail division strategic initiatives. You will also support the optimization of our current processes and systems to scale with our growth. To be successful in this role, you will need to gain a deep understanding of both Vail Resorts processes and systems, have the ability to identify inefficiencies, gaps, or incompatibilities, and be able to work cross-functionally with key stakeholders to create project specifications and effectively execute projects within our VRR portfolio.

      Job Responsibilities:
      • Support and coordinate project discovery, requirements gathering, outcome setting, resource assignment, project scheduling, solution design, risk identification and mitigation, and project delivery
      • Drive and prepare regular project updates and reporting to monitor project delivery against measures of success and flag risks, dependencies, and opportunities
      • Develop strong relationships and work cross-functionally with various areas of VRR and the broader enterprise to coordinate the work of project teams and deliver scalable, efficient solutions using a data driven approach
      • Support with the execution of key projects, like My Epic Gear, in service of our VRR strategy
      • Partner with the other Project Specialists/Managers to ensure the right prioritization, delivery schedules, and resource needs when working on enterprise-level projects.
      • Effectively apply, and continuously improve, our project management tools and approach
      • Demonstrate a passion for Vail Resorts core values, culture, mission and vision and inspire others to follow
      • Other duties as assigned


      Job Qualifications:
      • 4-year college degree or equivalent relevant work experience
      • 2+ years of experience in a project coordinator or project lead role
      • Demonstrated ability to effectively juggle multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
      • Experience translating project outcomes into detailed project plans
      • Ability to present project updates, risks, issues, and dependencies to senior leadership audiences
      • Experience working on a cross-functional team
      • Profficient in Microsoft Office Suite and with Project Management methods, tools, and approach
      • Demonstrate business insight with analytical and critical thinking skills
      • Proactive self-starter with excellent follow-through
      • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
      • Comfortable working autonomously or in a group
      • Ability to learn and adopt new technologies quickly


      The expected Total Compensation for this role is $55,000 - $69,575. Individual compensation decisions are based on a variety of factors.
